The 12th running of “The Longest Day Challenge” is done, raising money for Cancer Research UK.
35 set off from Lands End, and by some miracle- and a lot of help from an army of volunteers - 35 arrived at John O’Groats. Still very much in processing the whole “did that all really happen over that 24-36 hours” feelings, but the sheer amount of money raised by this years The Longest Day Challenge riders will never sink in. Impossible to name all the names, so I won’t name any, but there are at least 60-70 people who step up each year and help me put this crazy thing together. So, to all the people who restore a lot of my faith in human bearings, and who offer generosity with their time and kindness with no strings attached, Thank You. I am humbled by each and everyone of you.
